Zoo Lake Swimming Pool is a real treasure. It's only 30 meters but does have a water polo club, if you'd like to join. The pool can get crowded on weekends, but you can still do laps in the deep end. Currently, only season card holders have access due to COVID-19 restrictions - so no crowds. It's a pity the pool isn't heated in winter for year round swimming.
The pool is set in The Parks of Johannesburg and you are once again reminded that you are living in the world's largest man-made forest. Always good to see the tree covered Westcliff and mansions when you take a break from your lap training.
