The facility closed in Novmeber, 2012, for a complete reconstruction and reopened in March, 2015. The reconstruction was valued at £29,400,000!

The water was a bit on the warm side but still did well for an hour of swimming laps. The online booking system is easy to use. There are clear signs indicating lane speed (slow, medium, fast) and direction (clockwise, anticlockwise).

This is a modern, well equipped pool, a short walk from Latimer tube station. The entrance is on the south side of the building, which is reached from Bomore Road or Lancaster Green. Lockers require a £1 coin , which is returned. The main pool has eight, ridiculously narrow lanes that can make passing tricky; some lanes may be reserved for lessons, so call in advance to check. The water temperature is OK. Upside: on a mid-week lunch time I had a lane for myself for the best part of an hour -a rare treat in London indeed!
