Centre Sportif de la Petite-Bourgogne / Little Burgundy Sports Centre

I went to this pool a few days ago for a spontaneous swim – but it's not possible anymore! You have to call (514) 932 0800 to book a 45-minute slot. They say it’s an hour, but I’ve been thrown out of the water after 45 minutes. And there is a strict schedule for lap swimming!

The hours were quite limited, only early AM and noon to 12.45 PM; it was lessons at all other times. During the noon swim, all the lanes had at least three swimmers, and the fast lane had five or six. Swimmers generally picked the right lane and lifeguards did enforce the speed designations. But it was a crowded circle swim.

The changing areas were fine, and street parking was easy.

As a well-managed, maintained, and regulated pool to enjoy a swim in, the Centre stands out. Lanes are not only designated for different swimming skill levels, but competent staff members observe the lanes, and discipline any over/under qualifieds wimmers. I’ve even received some tips on how to improve my stroke, and what water weight exercises to use. Proud, helpful, and enthusiastic staff keep the place spotless, and running like clockwork. Well done!
