Why the Schwimmhalle Neufeld stands out
The facility has a 50-meter pool and two 25-meter pools. What makes it especially interesting is the bulkhead in the 50-meter pool, which can be deployed across half of the pool.
According to the plans as we understood them in September 2023, the default layout of that pool would have ten 25-meter lanes and five 50-meter lanes, apparently all year round. That arrangement lets short-course and long-course swimmers use the same pool.
We chose it as one of our two Pools of the Month for September 2023 because the city had only just opened it.
