York Hall Leisure Centre

My heart sank when I walked in and saw the pool arranged with three double lanes. But it is well managed, there is good discipline amongst the swimmers, and the staff manage it well, too. All gear is allowed (paddles, fins, etc.) It's cooler than a lot of pools which is very nice! Staff are excellent, and changing facilities are all fine.
It's easy to find; an older pool in a beautiful building with good atmosphere.
Be sure to bring 20p (non-refundable) for lockers.

Atmospheric old fashioned pool, about 3 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Tube. The temperature is possibly a little cool for casual swimmers but warm enough for fitness swimming. Good clean changing rooms and friendly staff.Great pool for laps and good friendly atmosphere, diving allowed.
