Once an excellent place if you worked downtown, this facility has taken a turn for the worse. The middle class after-work crowd has diminished due to increased competition from other facilities, a demoralized staff, maintenance problems, petty crime, and websites promoting it as a cruising place for gays. The facility increasingly feels seedy. Lack of space, especially when a swim club takes up a lane, has led to serious congestion and renders the pool unswimmable at times.
