Schwimmhalle Forumbad Olympiastadion

Single-swim admission is not available to the general public.

Approximately 500 meters to the south southwest is the Sommerbad Olympiastadion, a 50m, 8 lane, outdoor, seasonal pool that you can see HERE. The pool is open from the end of April/beginning of May to the beginning of September and costs just €5.50 per visit. [July, 2022]

Access to the pool is restricted to school groups and swim clubs.

The pool was built for the 1936 Olympics

Regarding the outdoor "Sommerbad Olympiastadion" mentioned above, a Berlin swimmer writes:

"In an impressive historical location, where the 1936 Summer Olympics were held, this is a good option for serious swimmers. The 50m pool has two lanes set aside for laps, (not speed-designated), the rest is an open area. There is a separate diving pool and a shallow pool for kids. There are more sport swimmers here than in the other seasonal pools, probably because of the water temperature (22.5º - 22.8ºC. [72.5º - 73.0º F.]); in overcast weather it is often even empty.

"There is a bag control at the entrance to the pool, where they check for glass bottles and knives (because of brawls in other seasonal pools like Neukölln, which are not a problem here). Bring your own lock. After 5.30 PM on weekdays it costs only €3.50."
