Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre

Check the website before you leave home to swim, as there have been a few weekend pool closures over the past month for various activities. The showers don't all work. There has been a notice to say that they are aware and fixing the issue for the past month or so. Unfortunately I have paid up front for a yearly swim membership. Nice pool but am very frustrated and wish I hadn't paid up front!

I really rate this new facility; the only negative is that, at 25m, the pool is smaller than the pool it replaced. Apart from that, it's all positive - all new and pristine with super friendly staff and enough space for everyone on the nights when I go there - usually 8 - 10 PM. Lane swimming is available early mornings and lunchtimes, as well. I hear it is much busier on days.
The water doesn't seem overheated or over chlorinated. A minor grievance: The only cold shower is in the disabled changing room; the other showers are a little too hot for me.
