Piscine Lévesque

Crowded? Yes, but patrons are very considerate and manage lane-sharing expertly. For minimal crowding, pick times carefully: “Adult Only” and before 5 PM is best.

I went on a Tuesday afternoon, starting at a time with one lap lane available and crossing into a time with three lanes available. The lanes are extra-wide, allowing passing. With one lane available, the lane was packed with swimmers at different speeds, but fairly orderly. When three speed-segregated lanes opened, they were still crowded, with six or seven swimmers per lane, but quite orderly with people respecting lane sharing etiquette and attentive to speed differences.

The pool is clean and a decent temperature for laps (81º - 82º or so). Kickboards and pull buoys available poolside.

The locker/shower area is not sex/gender segregated; there are small, private cubicles for changing. There is no nudity outside of the cubicles. I heard The Police, too, among a selection of 80's music.

It's a small facility, a locker room, two showers, a pool. They have sessions for lane swimming with three lanes for different speeds. It's clean, free, not overcrowded, and they have music playing (The Police, when I was there); I liked it!
