It is a basement pool, so a bit gloomy. It has a large kids' pool adjacent to it, which keeps a lot of the kids out of the swimming area. It has VERY high usage. When in session, it is used by the schools from 8 AM to 5 PM. Adults can swim laps at lunch. Wednesday is for swim classes only, all day. Masters workouts are Mon., Tues., Wed., and Fri. evenings after 6:30. Weekends are calm in the mornings, crowded in the afternoons. Generally, one or two lanes are reserved for lap swimming. The pool is closed in August.
