The pool has a bizarre system using an RFID-chip card to purchase a 2½ minute shower and/or hair dryer access for €0.50 each. Long hours are posted on sign outside building.
The staff was helpful on my first visit on a Sunday. If you are in Florence for long enough, the six-visit pass to swim on any other day may be worth your while. But, if you try to talk to them in Italian to get something more reasonable for a shorter visit, they bring out a woman to talk to you in English. At least she doesn't shout. It was not clear if the €36 six-visit package included the shower and hair dryer, but I would bet against it.
