McDowell Mountain Ranch Park & Aquatic Center

This is a great pool with tons of short course lanes in the morning. I went right at 6 AM and there was a good group of people going in right when they opened. They opened promptly and were extremely efficient. I never had to share a lane that morning, but most were filled. It’s a pretty great place to swim outdoors in April.

This pool is truly amazing. The architecture of the whole facility is incredible. (See more about the architecture HERE.) The locker rooms are clean and there are lots of lap lanes.

I had a really good swim here recently. There was swimming training and synchro swimming training going on, but there were still plenty of lanes available for laps, and I did not have to share. It was a Saturday mid-morning. Staff were friendly. Recommended.

This is an amazing pool. It's comfortable 82º all winter. The diving well is usually also available for lap swimming, too. Locker rooms are clean and practical. Staff is friendly and professional. You can usually get a lane all to yourself;worst case would be sharing with one other person during the busiest times. During the summer months, this facility also has a BEAUTIFUL lazy river, slide and leisure pool (entry fee is a little more if you want to use these features.)
