I've lived in 13 states and competed with the U.S. Masters, USA Swimming, and Senior Games for eight years. This is one of the two best lap swimming facilities I have experienced. It can't be beat for lap swimming, with continuous perimeter gutters and anti-wave lane lines, although the lanes themselves are a little narrow. As a resident of Lawrence, it's rare when you have to wait for an open lane, and even then, the wait is brief. Lane sharing is not necessary. The pool temperature is a consistent 79ºF. My only complaint is that the open hours on the weekend should be expanded.
