Although unheated and too cold to swim in, the pool is still open in winter. Lahee Park is a fantastic facility but unfortunately the car park and the general area of Pinetown where the pool is located are now plagued by crimes such as mugging and carjacking. Swimmers are strongly advised to avoid Lahee Park/Pinetown and to use the Westville Municipal Pool instead (about 10 km away)."
