Westville Municipal Swimming pool is a beautiful facility with lush lawns and tropical gardens. Staff are very friendly. The 50m pool is now heated, with the winter water temperature in the 22º -24º C range. There are no lane ropes, but in my experience the pool is very quiet, and swimmers stick to their lanes. The parking area is safe and under surveillance by a security guard. Westville pool is currently the only heated training pool in the greater Durban region. The pool is cleaned on Tuesday and Friday mornings; during the cleaning times the pool is open but swimming is only possible across the width (just under 23m).
