City of Coronado Aquatics Center

I trained at this pool for a week doing two-a-days. It's usually set up for long course in the morning and short course at night. It was a great experience and I hope to go back. The walk home after each practice on Coronado Beach was a plus.

This pool is a must swim. It's a beautiful facility - and not too crowded. It's easy to peg your own lane, which is rare at most 50m pools. They set it up for long-course for most of its schedule, too.

One note: The pool opens at 5 AM on weekdays, but the locker room inside the community center doesn't open until 6 AM. So if you swim early, just lock your valuables in your car. There are restrooms and outdoor showers available at 5 AM and there are plenty of places to put your swim bag while you swim.

Wow! This is really a jewel of a pool: a 50 meter, clean, uncrowded, outdoor pool overlooking the bay. I'm hard-pressed to come up with its equal - public or private.

One of the nicest recreational complexes I've ever seen, public or private. The locker rooms are clean and spacious and the facility has a full indoor hoops court and well-equipped exercise room with all kinds of the latest exercise machines.
