I enjoy using this pool by myself and with my grandchildren. The schedule for the pool, however, makes it difficult to attend often.

NOTE: The Cawthra Community Center was closed for renovation and expansion from September 6, 2022, until March 31, 2025. The centre's expansion includeed the construction of a new 25-metre, 6-lane swimming pool. The pool in the adjacent secondary school (the Cawthra Secondary School swimming pool) is to be retired. .
At the time of the opening of the new centre, the city's website and Google Maps continued to indicate that the pool is located in the secondary school, which we understand to be incorrect. Swimmers who intend to visit the facility may want to call ahead to ensure that they go to the correct location.

The Cawthra Community Centre Pool has recently been renovated and is a nice facility. The downside is that it is attached to a High School so does not offer a lot of flexibility in public swimming hours. Lane swim times are often crowded or late at night. Noon hour parent and tot swims are only on Tuesdays, but are great with a tot dock and lots of toys.
