Carla Madison Recreation Center

This is an excellent lap pool, separate from the recreation pool. The water temperature is just right; the regulars say it is maintained consistently right around 81º F. It’s well maintained, although the bottom of the pool could use a scrub; other than that, it’s a very clean locker room and pool. Entry is still free for first time visitors. And the staff is helpful.

This is a nice facility. The water is a little on warm side as pool is sometimes shared with water aerobics. The lockers have built-in locks. The first visit is free (even for out-of-state visitors); it' normally $6. Bring ID.

It's a large, new lap pool open all day. Inexpensive, drop in, great changing facility, pull-buoys and kick boards available.
