Canada Games Aquatic Centre

It's an easy pool to use for first time, just check the schedule online to avoid members-only and 50m switchover hours. A day pass is a bit pricy but includes gym access, too. The lockers are coin operated but there are free storage compartments to use on deck.

It may be old and it looks run down, but this is an amazing facility. The 50-meter pool, usually divided to 25-meters is on the cool side, but the steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi are all at the perfect temperature. The hours are good, the staff is friendly, and it is centrally located in the heart of downtown. I come to St John a couple of times a year and this place is a major reason.

I swam here in 2018. The locker rooms were dated, plane, simple, but adequate, with gang showers. I had a good swim. It's a wonderful location and a gem that needs sprucing up. Within easy walking distance from the cruise port and downtown.

I recently stayed with friends in Saint John and I swam here. My son used the gym. Thumbs up to both! The location and hours are excellent. I seek out pools for exercise wherever I am - and this one hit the spot. To be honest, the women's shower and change area is a bit tired and quite basic; it could do with an overhaul, but that's only a minor complaint. The 50m pool was divided half way, so laps were 25m, but that's quite OK.
