Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre

The Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre is good for a UK public pool. At lap swim times there are three double-wide lanes (speed segregated: slow, medium and fast. It's clean enough, kept at a good temperature, and the desk lady lent me a pound coin for the locker. I went at about 7:30 AM on a weekday and there was hardly anyone. It would have been busy earlier.

The water temperature of the 25m pool has been at 31ºC (88ºF) for the past few weeks, and the management seems unable or unwilling to reduce it.

It has recently been refurbished and the change rooms are great.

Pool hours change frequently; ring before you go. The pool is pretty good, but the 'fast lane' isn't well policed. Pretty clean and early-morning swims are sparsely attended.
