Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex

Two, clean, outdoor pools with plenty of access and renovated, albeit somewhat snug, locker rooms plus suit spinner. The pools were set up for 25-yard laps. Inexpensive, bring your own lock and soap. Kickboards available. Most of the showers lacked cold water during my visits.

The City of Sarasota recently took over management of the center from Sarasota County and made significant upgrades to the facility and programs. The new staff is very helpful and super nice. Late afternoons can get crowded when the junior team is there, so you might have to share lanes.

This is a beautiful lap pool. The water is very clear and clean. I highly recommend the pool.

One review mentioned warm water in the showers, but I couldn't get any. I found the locker room to be uncomfortable with a very narrow metal bench, a wet floor, and rusty lockers. So I have been spending 15 or 20 minutes after swimming to let my suit dry, then just wearing it home.

This pool has been recently renovated and is great to swim laps in. There is also a baby pool and a children's pool. I wish it was lighted at night. So refreshing. Nice staff also!

The pool and surrounding deck are not very clean It's a chlorinated pool but you wouldn't know it on some days when it tastes like salt and is very cloudy.

Loved it! The water quality seems much better than the nearby Y, and the facility is beautifully maintained. The locker rooms, though not luxurious, are also clean and well-heated (appreciated in a cold Sarasota winter!). The staff is friendly and there's never a worry about having to share one of the 20 lanes!

Clean pool. Warm water in the showers. Bring your own lock. A real bargain, (better if you're over 55). Call to check times, they change seasonally. There are steps for entry, if needed.
