November 2021: New York Review and the Solomon Islands Added
In November 2021 we reviewed New York State listings, added the Solomon Islands as our 209th country and netted 26 new listings. The Pool of the Month is a remote thermal pool in Australia's Kosciuszko National Park.
Most of November 2021 went into New York State, and the Solomon Islands became the 209th country in the directory. This update covers both, along with a net gain of 26 pool listings.
Site activity
We spent most of November updating the listings in New York State. Most municipal and commercial health club pools were back in operation with relatively few COVID-19 modifications. The educational sector was different: colleges and universities in particular were still closed entirely or, where they had reopened, were less welcoming than before the pandemic.
Alongside the review, we kept looking for more pools in more countries. We added the Solomon Islands as the 209th country after finding a hotel in Honiara, on Guadalcanal Island, with an outdoor 20-yard pool. We don't have much information about the hotel or its pool.
Next we plan to complete our review of the listings in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Then we will turn to Italy, which we have not looked at closely since 2012 or 2013.
