June 2025: San Diego County Reviews and 22 New Listings in Morocco
In June 2025 our rolling review of California reached San Diego County, we found 22 new pools in Morocco from one website, and the Alga Norte Aquatic Center in Carlsbad became our Pool of the Month.
Our rolling review of California reached San Diego County in June 2025, and this pool listings update also covers a first batch of 22 listings in Morocco.
Listing checks
In our rolling review we are now into San Diego County in Southern California. California has more than 1,100 listings, and more than 400 of them remain to be checked, so we are just shy of two-thirds of the way through. Once California is done, we plan to move on to Alaska and Hawaii.
People are starting their summer trips, and we are posting new reviews to the listings at a record pace. When we receive a new pool review, we go through everything in its listing: the name, address, telephone number and all the map and web links, just as we do in the rolling reviews. It is time-consuming but worthwhile.
New listings in Morocco
New listings have been harder to find lately, but in June we came across a Moroccan website that led us to 22 new pools. The site gives little more than names, addresses, telephone numbers and descriptions, but it is a good start toward covering North Africa.
We are counting on you to fill in the details as you travel in Morocco: public access, drop-in pricing, water temperatures and so on. If you swim at one of these pools, please suggest a change to its listing.
Pool of the Month
Our Pool of the Month for June 2025 is the Alga Norte Aquatic Center in Carlsbad, California, a two-pool facility with cooler water for swimmers in one pool and warmer water for instruction in the other. Read why we chose it.
