July 2025: 201 California Listings Reviewed and a Net Loss of Six
In July 2025 we reviewed 201 California listings, from San Diego County to Santa Barbara County, and checked every listing swimmers asked about. We lost 14 California listings, mainly to closures.
California took most of our time in this July 2025 pool listings update: we reviewed 201 of its listings and lost 14 of them, mainly to closures. Across the whole site we added 12 listings and lost 18.
Listing checks
We completed reviews of the 129 listings in San Diego County, the 34 in San Francisco, the 11 in San Joaquin County, the 15 in San Luis Obispo County and the 25 in San Mateo County. We then began on the 18 listings in Santa Barbara County. In total we reviewed 201 California listings in July, and 219 California listings remain.
We also checked every listing that swimmers told us something about, wherever it is, so it was a busy month.
It had been about eight years since we last went through the California listings. We lost 14 of them, primarily because of closures and loss of public access. We also found that some did not belong on the site in the first place.
