December 2021: New York Review Done and Three Unusual Pools
In December 2021 we finished reviewing New York State and looked back at the database's growth over the year. Our three Pools of the Month range from a 300-meter school pool to a Mexican mega-resort and a New Zealand guesthouse.
We finished reviewing all of New York State's pool listings in December 2021. Three unusual pools and a look back at the year's growth complete this update.
Site activity
Because of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, we did not try to update much of the pricing information in New York. We did verify, or change as needed, the names, addresses, telephone numbers and home page website addresses, as far as we could. We also kept looking for more pools in more countries.
With the Omicron variant rising in late December, we plan to go slowly with our review of New Jersey. We may begin reviewing some of the listings in Italy instead, which have not been looked at in seven years.
Pools of the Month
We chose three Pools of the Month for December 2021. The first is the KYSM School in Bambang, in the Malaysian state of Malacca, with a 300-meter training pool, 10 meters wide, and beside it a 50-meter competition pool. Neither pool is open to the public, so the school cannot be listed, but we wanted to share it.
The other two are listed. The Barceló Maya Grand Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, is a six-hotel resort with a 70-meter pool. The Only Fools and Horses Accommodations, Casual Swimming, etc. is a guesthouse in Muriwai Beach, New Zealand, with an outdoor pool that can be roofed over. Read about both pools.
