Two water temperatures at the Excelsior Springs Community Center
One pool is a convertible pool covered by a seasonal bubble, which is removed in summer. The other is a 20-yard indoor pool that is kept warmer.
Swimmers differ in the water temperature they prefer. Warm water is easier to slide into, while cooler water suits swimmers who want to exercise hard. Many communities settle on a single middle temperature that satisfies few of them. With two pools, Excelsior Springs offers a choice.
Visiting Excelsior Springs
Excelsior Springs is a small Missouri community with a population under 11,000. It is about 40 miles from Overland Park, Kansas, and the nearest Interstate highway is ten miles away, so it is well off the beaten path.
We were glad to see a community of this size make the investment in a facility that supports its residents' health and wellbeing.
