This YWCA is a bit older than the one across the river in Minneapolis, but it's perfectly functional. The pool's water is a good temperature for lap-swimming, with lane lines and bottom stripes and backstroke flags. The lanes are wide enough to split or circle. On a Thursday evening right before Labor Day, the whole place was pretty empty, so I can't speak to how crowded it is usually. The front desk person was very friendly, as were the other swimmers I encountered.
The locker room has only a group shower, but it also has a swimsuit dryer and plenty of lockers in good condition. I also enjoyed that the staircase down from the locker room to the pool was a) not slippery and b) in the pool room, so you could see the pool as you descend.
