Going to this pool is a cultural experience – an opportunity to experience swimming in a public facility in Mainland China. There are two outdoor 50m pools and, at 4:00 PM, both pools were crowded. There are no lane lines; patrons swim both lengthwise and widthwise. Watch where you're going. In mid-August, 2008, the water was about 30ºC. and not very clean. Smokers are in luck: people (including lifeguards) smoke everywhere. The entire facility is very dirty. Two words: "Wear flip-flops.
