Looking at the central Kalamazoo listings on Places2Swim I saw no day pass options, so I checked the YMCAs. The Maple Branch offers a "One Week Short-term Access" pass for out-of-town visitors. In October 2024 the price for this was $25. The Y gave me a bar-coded fob for check in. I swam at 5:30 AM on a weekday, and 10 am on Saturday. My workout is over an hour, and I always had a lane to myself.
One note: On the website look for the pool schedule. Except for Sundays the YMCA facility opens at least 30 minutes before the pool is accessible for lap swimming. On weekdays the facility opens at 5 AM, the door to the pool opened at 5:30 AM. On Saturday there were other pool activities for two hours before the pool was available for lap swimming.
