This is a fantastic facility, clean and new. It's incredibly convenient for a quick swim near the JAX airport; they gave me two free visits and I'm not even a Jacksonville resident!

Facility Notes
This location was formerly the home of the Claude J. Yates YMCA. The building was replaced and reopened in 2016 as the Winston Family YMCA, with a 25m, 6 lane pool in place of the old 25y, 4 lane pool. In some parts of the Y's website, the Yates name has not been replaced; when you see "Yates", read "Winston Family".

This is a brand new $21M facility that opened in August, 2016. There are two pools - a lap pool and a therapy pool. The lap pool has six lanes and the water temperature is good. There are kick boards but I didn't see any pull buoys. Towels are provided; the lockers are the type that you put a code in and then lock it.
