An excellent facility with super friendly and helpful staff. And a bargain for this 55-year-old who is considered a "senior" here! ($5 for a 30-day pass!) The pool itself is new, not overheated, and not very crowded after the morning rush. Kickboards and pull buoys are available.
As of November 2022, swimmers need to reserve a 60-minute lap swim time slot in advance, walk-ins are accepted on a space available basis. Once your time slot is open, you are buzzed into the pool area. To save time, most swimmers arrive with suits on underneath sweats and parkas, undress on deck, and hit the water; locker rooms are one floor down and include showers (bring your own lock).
The pool is outdoors on the fifth-floor roof of a municipal complex that includes a park, public library, city hall offices, and a parking garage. The view from the fifth floor is amazing. Waves of cooking odors from nearby restaurants wash over the pool occasionally, so don't be surprised if you smell food during your warmup!
The parking garage is super convenient and don't forget to validate your parking ticket on the way out.
