One end of Pool 1 is rounded, i.e., there is no straight wall for flip turns on that end; additionally, there is a founain on a base about one meter wide approximately five meters away from the curved wall that will need to be avoided for laps; finally, the width of the pool narrows from 12-meters to abour seven meters at the other end, as there are two wide staircase entries on either side of the pool. All in all, we'd guess that Pool 2, a roof-top pool, would be better for laps.
