University of New Orleans Recreation and Fitness Center

We were in NO for ten days in late July and used this pool three times for lap swimming. It was great - we had lanes to ourselves, the staff are friendly, and the facilities are very good. It was $10.00 per swim but we took out a two week community membership for $25.00 and could have swum as many times as we wanted. Public transport to the UNO was a long trip from center of New Orleans - a $17.00, one way taxi ride. Thoroughly recommended.

A nice, clean, non-crowded facility. (I had a lane for myself from 6 to 7 AM.) The pool is 4-feet deep. There are big stopwatches at both ends of the pool. Sunny indoor pool too: two of the walls around the pool are glass, with a view of the palm-treed campus.
