Inevitably crowded in summer, this pool provides a rare experience for hardy swimmers prepared to brave the unheated water from late-August onwards. The surrounding trees make the water a bit "leafy," and the poolside changing cubicles are Spartan,although there are modern changing facilities either side of the new entrance. Worth trying at least once, just to see what it’s like swimming a full 90 metres while trains speed past on the adjacent railway line!
