When I swam here recently, there were no lane ropes so there was a need to keep looking up to avoid colliding with other swimmers; this was not too difficult as it was not too busy.

I like the 50m lanes and clean water. One problem is that many Germans swim across the pool at right angle to the 50m lanes. This can cause collisions with serious lane swimmers unless the lane ropes are in (which is seldom).
