It had a kind of dingy feel that was just uncomfortable psychologically. I probably would have gotten used to it if I went a couple more times. Nobody asked to see my spravka (medical certificate). It was almost empty, but then again all of Kiev was pretty empty since it was a long weekend. There didn't seem to be any way of keeping track of the time (no wristbands, gates or anything), but maybe I just didn't notice.
