Solomon Calhoun Community Center Pool

This is a surprisingly nice facility. It was set up for 25 meters, which is so rare I hadn’t done that for years. I enjoyed being outdoors on a nice sunny day. The pool was full but not crowded. Be sure to confirm the pool’s hours before going.

The pool is well maintained and has starting blocks and backstroke flags. There is a Master's program and an age group swim team that use the pool year-round. It closes when the air temperature is "feels like" 40ºF (4.4ºC) or below. And an annual pass is only $112!

It's a great pool with a good water temperature. When I swam, it was set up for 25 meter laps. It has a changing room but no showers, just an outdoor rinse-off type shower tree. Cheap!

The Solomon Calhoun pool is extremely well cared for, excellent for swimming, and available year round, which is great! The staff is friendly, attentive to swimmers, and well informed about weather issues, such as storm warnings. I love this pool and highly recommend it.

Great community pool: outdoors, heated, convenient hours. The heating is especially nice when it's below 60º outside; and it’s open late. On the day after Christmas it was open until 7 PM, way past sunset. The pool area and pool were well lit, very clean, and well staffed. There were two lifeguards and a clerk at the entrance. The fee is unbeatable. There are men's and women's changing rooms with small lockers but no hot showers inside. There is a shower to rinse off outside by the pool, though.
