Facility Notes
The pools are part of a larger facility donated to the people of San Diego by Joan Kroc, widow of the founder of the MacDonald's fast food chain. In addition to the pools, the facility has a climbing wall and an ice rink, among other features.
There is also an indoor therapeutic pool kept at 92º - 96ºF (33º - 36ºC); it's not used for swimming. The number of open lap lanes in the other pools varies over the course of the day.
