This pool dates from 1968 but is wearing quite well. The changing area is of the communal village kind now universal in public pools here, though the lockers do not require cash.
I arrived towards the end of a lane swimming session to find the only lanes were being used for children’s swim classes. However there was plenty of space for swimming lengths in the rest of the pool and even more after the classes ended and the lane ropes were removed.
All in all it was a pleasant experience.
