Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments

This is a nice facility. There's one lane marked off with a lane divider (the so-called "express lane"). It also has a steam room, nice-sized sauna, and plunge pool. I assume the lane that has a divider is to protect us lap swimmers from hotel guests who bring their kids down at 6:30 AM rather than super-fast swimmers. I understand why parents bring their kids down early (usually just one - often the dad - so the other parent can sleep). It just seems to me that the lane where someone is swimming laps has an irresistible attraction for kids. BTW I apologize for sounding like a grumpy old man but, then again, I fit that category (at least the old part)

I thought this place was fabulous; the view out the windows while swimming was awesome. It's a wonderful pool.

The pool is lightly used, has very good changing facilities, and is 25m - unlike most hotel pools; it also has lane markings.
