This listing is not intended for the lap swimmers who are searching for good, rectangular, bottom-striped, "concrete ponds", rather it it meant for those who want to stick their toes into the world of open-water swimming in a less threatening environment.

We were able to measure out a single lap distance of approximately 170-meters from one end of the pool to the other, with only two, minor course corrections.

An added dividend that comes with this listing is the information about a number of other, less commercial, open-water/ocean enclosure swimming venues in the vecinity that are described in the "Website" link at the top of this listing.

The pool was ranked second in a survey of the world's best natural swimming pools published in the Australasian Leisure Management newsletter.
