The 50m, outdoor pool is perfectly suited for lap swimming since the lanes are permanently separated by lines of buoys. Moreover, the lifeguards are quite unrelenting in reprimanding people that cross one or more lanes in the wrong direction, which ensures that the 'traffic' is well arranged. On the other hand, lap swimming seems to be impossible in the outdoor, 25m pool because it tends to be crowded with playing children and their parents.
