I loved this pool and being able to swim 50 meters without turning around! The ladies’ bathrooms are not so great, with only two showers and two toilets, and they're difficult to maneuver around in. But the pool is wonderful! I love swimming here. It’s worth the hassle of getting the documentation that you need!
I knew that in order to swim in any of the public pools in Panama City you have to have a card, and to get the card you need two photos and a medical certificate. I speak a bit of Spanish but not enough to be able to get the answers I needed about how to get them, so I went home, did some research, and translated my questions into Spanish.
Luckily, one of the ladies who worked at the pool, took me to a photo place and then to a clinic. You can get the photos anywhere that takes passport photos or bring two from home. (I got five for $3.)
We went to the “Clinica Revar Laboratorio” (just a short walk from the pool, at the intersection of the Avenida Central España and the Calle José Domingo Espinar - HERE on a map). All they asked was “Do you have asthma?”, they took my blood pressure, and then issued the certificate. It cost only $7.00.
Now I have a card and can access any of the pools in Panama City. Enjoy!
