The pool was closed on September 1, 2023, for asbestos remediation; while that issue was being addressed, structural deficiencies in the building's concrete were discovered. The situation is being evaluated.

The 50m, 8 lane, outdoor, seasonal Peterborough Lido can be found about 500 metres west of this facility; you can see it on a map, HERE. While the Regional Fitness Centre is closed, the Lido is remaining open.
