Pendle Leisure Centre is generally quiet and clean. You have to get in early as adult, but I understand in addition to public swimming there is a very active club, including masters.The early birds session is excellent, generous lane swimming, random cafe, nice staff but early - 7 to 9 AM. A Friday women-only slot is great, if you're a woman obviously.
