Paul Stock Aquatic and Recreation Center

This is a beautiful 8-lane pool with a deep-end diving board. The south wall is all glass, floor-to-ceiling. There is also a separate zero depth entry pool, a pool with a slide, a therapy pool, and a Jacuzzi. It’s an incredible facility for a town of its size.

This is definitely a nice aquatic center and a big surprise in a relatively isolated small western city. Kudos to the City of Cody! But, if you're used to 82º - 85ºF., be ready for the chill on entry. I don't know exactly what it was, but I'd guess 78º - 80ºF. And judging from the review before mine, it appears the cooler temperature on my visit wasn't a mistake. It's not a reason to stay away for sure but if you're older and don't have much body fat, just FYI.

The facility is clean and bright. The lap pool was at 80ºF (27ºC) and the hot pool at 103ºF (39ºC). The showers are labeled with water temperature. 100º, 106º, and 109º. Call ahead to avoid the swim team. We arrived a little before 6 PM and it was busy at first; within 10 minutes, we had the pool to ourselves.

This is a really nice aquatic center. The lap pool is clean and bright, and wasn’t crowded when I went. Kick boards and some other accessories were available. The play area pool looked great for kids and their parents. If you want a locker, they’re 75¢ plus an ID to hold.
