Pacific Community Pool

This is a marvelous pool for lap swimmers as it is open seven days a week with fairly long hours (Monday through Thursday from 6 AM to 8 PM, Friday until 7 PM, and weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM). Except for a total of six and a half hours per week, there are always lanes available for laps. And reservations are no longer required.

One end is 4-feet deep, the other 10-feet. At the half-way point, the depth suddenly changes (not a gradual sloping change; it's almost like a ledge where you can easily and seriously hit your head); this isn't so good for anyone with a strong underwater dolphin kick, whether for backstroke or butterfly/free.

The staff is friendly and professional in an age when many younger people seem to just stare at their feet, afraid to interact with anyone at even a basic level, despite it being a necessity of many jobs.

My overall impression, based on one visit: Grade A-
