Oshkosh Community YMCA - Downtown

This YMCA is less than a mile from beautiful Lake Winnebago. Treat yourself after your swim!

The facility feels very new and up to date. The pool is well staffed with lifeguards.

There is a separate pool for water fitness classes and activities, leaving the four-lane lap pool for laps. I swam two different days and was in line when the pool opened (8 AM on Saturday, 5 AM on weekdays, closed on Sunday). The pool was active but there was never more than one swimmer per lane. Great swim, I only wish they opened on Sundays.

The pool and facilities are very nice. The pool isn't very busy and rarely requires sharing lanes. For men there are two locker rooms, one of which is almost a spa to itself (in addition to the normal showers and lockers, there is carpeting, a TV lounge, steam room, sauna, and hot tub) with lots of sinks and mirrors for shaving.
