Facility Notes

There is also a 4-lane, 50-metre, outdoor, heated, swimming pool at this location. According to the centre's website, the pool is heated and open only in summer although we have seen Facebook posts that indicate that "summer" may extend beyond the standard June to September definition.

December 2013

The changing area has been completely remodeled and is a massive improvement. Now you have to remove your shoes before entering, which will keep the area much cleaner. The showers were great. The pool, itself, is unaltered and the lane ropes are still shocking. Good swimming conditions and temperature just right for active lane swimming.

The female changing rooms were disgusting: mould on the ceiling, chipped tiles, broken fittings and one tiny bench. Never have I seen any facilities as grim.

Some refurbishment must have been done since the above review. The main indoor pool was lovely, the poolside clean, and changing facilities no worse than average.

Anonymous

I was horrified by the general filthiness and poor repair of the facilities.

The lane ropes are indeed 'ropes' resulting in choppy swimming conditions.
