A pool redevelopment project that began in 2021, was expected to be completed in mid-2024, and extended into 2026, was finally completed and the pool reopened in August of that year. The originally-estimted A$24 million project was to includes upgrading the existing pools and adding a children's water play area and a warm water pool for gentle exercise. The existing pools' Art Deco featureswere to be retained. Estimates of the final cost of the project run to A$64 million.
